Ark Linux

Ark Linux was a free GNU/Linux distro, originally derived from Red Hat Enterprise Linux, but later shifted to an original base. It was solely comprised of open source software, but did have proprietary packages in the official repositories. The distro prioritized being easy to use, even for Linux beginners, but still provided the features desired by experienced users. It was geared towards desktop usage, and came with several programs useful for basic daily usage pre-installed. Ark Linux focused on stability, and rigorous package testing. The default desktop environment used was KDE. The project is dead as of early 2012.
